CHALLENGE

The owners of Iris – a new lounge, bar, and restaurant in Beirut, wanted something special for the opening night. And they were very specific about their requirements.

They told us they needed an international headline act that would match the elegance of the venue and its characteristics. The act had to be spontaneous, fun, and entertaining. In addition we were tasked with sourcing international bar tenders for the first few weeks, as well as with bringing over the latest European high-class drinks and cocktails.

WHAT WE DID

We started by getting a full understanding of what the brand needed to be successful. We worked with the client on several levels, and presented them with different options.

Then we began our search for the performers. We screened over 17 acts in the UK and Europe before making our choice. The Fabulous Shaker Boys, who we’d worked with before, came on board to run the bar. The team has vast experience of producing events at top world hot spots such Cannes and San Tropez to name just two, so we knew they were the perfect choice for Iris.

RESULT

With it’s breathtaking design and décor, open roof concept, fabulous service, and spectacular opening night, Iris was an immediate hit.

It quickly became one of the most popular night-time venues in Beruit, and in 2014 the brand expanded with Iris Dubai, Iris Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and Iris Beach Lounge.

Sourcing exactly the right entertainment for the launch of Iris Beruit undoubtedly played an essential role in setting out the venue’s intensions, and paved the way for the expansion of the Iris brand.
